National Building Code of India 2016 - Accessibility in Buildings and the Built Environment, a course focusing on creating inclusive spaces, equips professionals with essential knowledge to frame regulations and grant building permissions, thereby fostering a more compassionate society where everyone can thrive.

A District Entrepreneurship Coalition was held in Lakimpur, Uttar Pradesh. The coalition aimed at accelerating enterprise development by bringing together entrepreneurs and stakeholders from banks, government departments, and NGOs.

Society for Technology and Action for Rural Advancement, the incubation engine of the Development Alternatives Group conducted a 16-hour long training module for the post-graduate students of Anant National University’s Fellowship Programme in Built Environment.

Since 2019, Development Alternatives and HCL Foundation have collaborated on a Pond Rejuvenation and Biodiversity Conservation project in Gautam Buddha Nagar. On 13th July 2023, DA received the Appreciation Award from HCL Foundation.

Two seminars were held on 17 June, and 21 June, 2023, hosted by the Varanasi Municipal Corporation and the Municipal Corporation of Muzaffarnagar, respectively. The seminars marked the official handover of the decentralised wastewater treatment technology called “Taisei Soil System (TSS)”.

Dr Ashok Khosla, Shrastant Patara, and Kanika Verma attended the Schwab Foundation and Global Alliance Annual Summit 2023 at the World Economic Forum in Geneva.

On 09 June Development Alternatives celebrated 40 years of its establishment with employees, alumni and friends of DA being at Development Alternatives Headquarter to felicitate the long journey of the organisation. Panel discussion, talks, friendly banters, and music with message made the occasion a memorable day for all.

Development Alternatives participated in the Adaptation Fund Country Exchange Programme in Indonesia. The highlight of the programme was the field exposure to Pekalongan – a city in the northern coast of the Java Island in Indonesia that is predicted to sink by 2035.
