Development Alternatives advocates for empowering local communities and incorporating traditional knowledge into adaptation efforts in a side event at the Adaptation Futures 2023, on October 06 in Montreal, Canada. This side event was supported by the Adaptation Fund and witnessed Zeenat Niazi sharing insights from an evaluation of the AF-funded projects in India, co-led by the Climate Action Network South Asia (CANSA) between 2019 and 2021.

Equality4Progress, a joint effort by Development Alternatives (DA) and the Bank of America, focuses on empowering women in rural India, specifically in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh.
