A two-day Entrepreneurship Knowledge Programme was successfully conducted on 11th and 12th May 2026 at Learning Space, Bungmual, Churachandpur District, Manipur, under Component 5.2 of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme, a World Bank-supported Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), Government of India, aimed at strengthening the MSME ecosystem through enhanced entrepreneurship, innovation, market access, and institutional capacity building.

The workshop was organised by Manipur Technology Innovation Hub (MTI-HUB) in collaboration with Farmers Regeneration Trust (FRT) and facilitated with the support of the Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation (IMEDF). IMEDF, as the Nodal Agency of the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, plays a key role in promoting cluster-based enterprise development, entrepreneurship, capacity building, and sustainable livelihood opportunities across the country. The programme focused on developing a practical understanding of entrepreneurship, business modelling, market research, digital tools, financial literacy, and government support systems available for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and startups. Expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and case-study-based learning enabled participants to engage with real-world entrepreneurial challenges and opportunities relevant to the region.

Special emphasis was placed on encouraging first-generation entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs, grassroots innovators, and members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by creating an inclusive and participatory learning environment. Participants also explored local enterprise opportunities and strategies for strengthening sustainable livelihoods through innovation, value addition, and enterprise development.

The workshop witnessed active participation and enthusiastic engagement throughout both days. Feedback from participants highlighted appreciation for the practical orientation of the sessions, exposure to successful entrepreneurial case studies, and opportunities for networking with mentors, resource persons, and fellow entrepreneurs.

The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants and reinforced the importance of continued mentoring, digital upskilling, access to business support services, and ecosystem-based interventions for strengthening entrepreneurship and fostering sustainable MSME growth in Manipur. The initiative also underscored the collective efforts of MoMSME, IMEDF, MTI-HUB, and local partners in nurturing a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and creating pathways for inclusive economic development in the region.
