On March 9, the District Magistrate of Niwari, Ms. Jamuna Bhide, visited TARAgram Orchha to review ongoing work under the Resource Access Equity (RAE) Program, with a focus on the WASH project in Bundelkhand. The visit provided an opportunity to share progress on water resilience interventions and discuss pathways for strengthening district-level collaboration. The District Magistrate appreciated the initiatives and requested continued technical support for the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, building on the support extended in the previous year. Following the visit, Development Alternatives was included as a member of the District Level Committee for the campaign.

On March 12, a district-level meeting under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan was held at the District Office, chaired by the District Magistrate and attended by officials across departments and civil society representatives. During the meeting, the team from Development Alternatives – Taragram Institute shared insights on improving water resilience through structured implementation and systematic documentation. The discussion emphasised strengthening groundwater levels and enhancing the role of Gram Panchayats in water management.

The District Administration has invited Development Alternatives to support planning, implementation, and documentation of the campaign. With a comprehensive action plan in place, this engagement reinforces a coordinated and community-led approach to water management in Niwari.
