For many rural entrepreneurs, the challenge is not the absence of support, it is navigating a system that was not designed around their needs.

The existing ecosystem often operates through a “giver–receiver” model, where institutions hold the schemes, products, and services, while entrepreneurs are expected to find, understand, and access them. With information spread across multiple institutions, platforms, and offices, entrepreneurs may struggle to articulate what they need, understand their options, or take the next step.

udyaME Camp changes this dynamic by bringing the ecosystem to the entrepreneur.

At the grassroots, the camp brings together entrepreneurs, financial institutions, MFIs, udyaME Kiosks, government representatives, and support agencies in one accessible space. Entrepreneurs can discuss their business needs, prepare business plans and udyaME Files, understand loan requirements, complete documentation, access digital services, explore government schemes, and connect with financial and market opportunities.

The idea is simple: instead of asking entrepreneurs to navigate a fragmented support system, we bring the support system closer to them.

Through udyaME Kiosks, entrepreneurs can access essential services such as Udyam Registration, PAN assistance, CIBIL score checks, Aadhaar updates, and information on government schemes. More importantly, the camp creates a space for conversation, choice, and confidence where entrepreneurs can ask questions, articulate their needs, compare available options, and decide what is relevant for their businesses.

In this way, the udyaME Camp is more than a service-delivery point; it is a grassroots bridge between entrepreneurs and the enterprise ecosystem, helping shift the relationship from “receiving support” to “accessing the right support” with the entrepreneur at the centre of the process.

udyaME Files

Building on this approach, we introduced the udyaME File as a bridge between entrepreneurs and service providers. It consolidates key business information, documents, compliance records, and loan requirements in one place, helping entrepreneurs become business-ready and bankable while enabling service providers to assess and engage with them more efficiently. It also creates an opportunity for a Business-to-Entrepreneur (B2E) revenue stream through facilitated transactions.

The udyaME Camps brought together entrepreneurs, financial institutions, MFIs, udyaME Kiosks, and other ecosystem stakeholders to identify and address specific enterprise needs through documentation support, financial linkages, government schemes, digital services, and business guidance. Across two camps, 180 business files were prepared, and 300+ Enterprise Support Services (ESS) were delivered, with 120+ entrepreneurs connected to the MFI loan pipeline.

The camps also strengthened coordination between entrepreneurs and ecosystem partners, highlighting the importance of timely information, responsive financial services, and consistent follow-up. The involvement of Samuh Sakhis, udyaME Kiosk operators, DA team members, and local stakeholders helped create an accessible and trusted environment for entrepreneurs to articulate their needs and explore opportunities.

Overall, udyaME Camps demonstrate how accessible, local, and demand-led touchpoints can connect rural entrepreneurs with the wider enterprise ecosystem. By placing entrepreneurs at the centre and enabling real-time conversations, demonstrations, peer learning, and access to services, these touchpoints support informed choices while preserving entrepreneurial agency and autonomy.
