On 22 May 2026, TARA co-hosted a high-level engagement in Singapore on the sidelines of the Climate Group Asia Action Summit and Ecosperity Week, centred on advancing the adoption of Limestone Calcined Clay Cement (LC³) across South and Southeast Asia.

The session, held at the National University of Singapore, brought together cement manufacturers, real estate developers, investors and academics to examine the barriers and opportunities in scaling low-carbon construction materials across the region. The discussion was structured around four questions: what narratives are slowing adoption, how the cost and risk conversation needs to shift, what demand signals would accelerate market uptake, and what a credible regional coalition would look like in practice. Participants converged on a clear understanding that the technology is proven, the economics are increasingly compelling, and what remains is building the market conditions; data, flagship projects, committed buyers and multiple suppliers.

The afternoon panel at NUS, co-organised by TARA, Climate Group, CapitaLand Development and NUS, deepened these conversations with a more technical focus. TARA's presentation on LC³ readiness in the region drew extensive engagement from practitioners, developers and regulators, including representatives from the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore.

Participants from SCG Thailand, Mahindra, CapitaLand, Alliance Concrete and EnGro were among those who engaged positively and expressed interest in taking the work forward.

The day concluded with a laboratory tour at NUS's College of Design and Engineering and a working dinner, with collective affirmations from panellists to sustain and deepen the dialogue.
