#SkillForEmployment
One on One interview session of a trainee
On May 20, 2025, the Skill to Livelihood Centre supported by HDB Financial Services in Noida, witnessed a high-impact Job Fair aimed at connecting skilled youth with prominent industry recruiters. This initiative, driven by Development Alternatives in collaboration with HDB Financial Services, marked a significant milestone in advancing vocational employability for underserved communities.
The job fair was designed to provide trained youth from the centre with direct access to hiring opportunities across high-demand sectors including Retail, BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), Hospitality, and IT Services.
The event drew strong participation from five leading recruitment agencies and employers, who recognised the potential of our trained candidates:
By facilitating direct industry interaction, the fair aimed to close the employment gap for youth transitioning from skill training to gainful employment. It underscored the importance of industry collaboration in making skill development programs employment-oriented and impactful. Out of 68 participants, an impressive 35 candidates were shortlisted for further recruitment processes. This reflects both the quality of the training provided and the confidence employers place in our trainees.
