    Name of Organisation: Development Alternatives

    Position:- Deputy Manager – Geologist

    Qualification:- Graduate / Post Graduate in Geology or Applied Geology

    Domain: Product Development Domain (TARA)

    Location: New Delhi (HQ)

    No. of Positions: 01

    Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience in field or applied research with exposure to field surveys and sampling. 

    Job description:

    • To undertake secondary literature survey on clay, limestone and other cement and waste based materials across India and other countries especially Africa, Asia and Pacific.
    • To liaise with various geology, mining and related departments including IBM, GSI for data collection.
    • Field visits to various mining sites for collection of samples of raw materials.
    • Undertake mapping of raw materials, quantity estimation and logistics of mining.
    • Coordination for arrangement of raw materials and management of testing.
    • Supervision of sample receipt, documentation, sample entry and processing of raw materials.
    • Undertake collaborative research with academic institutions leading to adoption of new and relevant technologies and development of new products.
    • Demonstrate and support commercial deployment of knowledge and technologies and products with commercial companies.
    • Timely delivery of reports with clients and internal satisfaction.
    • Writing proposals as per the requirement of funding agency(s)

    DESIRABLE QUALITIES:

    • Must be proficient in English with excellent communication skills.
    • Hard working with ability to understand and analyze research results. Ability to travel and manage a research lab.
