    Name of the Organisation:- Development Alternatives

    Position: Programme Director (Bundelkhand)

    Qualification: Master of Social Work/ Master’s Degree in Rural Development Management/ Rural Development Studies/ Public Policy/ Environmental Management/Other relevant background

    Job Type: Regular after 6 Months’ Probation or Company Contract for one year

    Location: Bundelkhand

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    15 - 20 years of experience with at least 5 years in the position of Programme Director / Integrator, Team lead of an NGO with grassroot operations.

    Bundelkhand:

    The Bundelkhand region is our social laboratory and our ‘karmabhoomi’ where we concentrate our efforts to build local capacities, regenerate natural resources, and infuse science and technology-based solutions to catalyse social change processes and demonstrate sustainable development in action. In pursuit of its mission to create sustainable livelihoods, Development Alternatives focuses on Bundelkhand in Central India. Development Alternatives makes it a high priority to change this around.

    The focus of work here has been on regeneration of natural resources through modern scientific practices and local knowledge and strengthening community institutions. Today, Development Alternatives works directly in over 250 villages in three districts and reaches out to various civil society and self-help groups in the remaining 10 districts of Bundelkhand.

    Job Description and Expected Outputs:

    1. Management and coordination of all projects being executed in the Bundelkhand region and other location of central India to includes substance execution and financial planning, counselling and capacity building of team members.
    2. Business development for the organization goals in Bundelkhand.
      • Conceptualize and capitalize the service delivery models evolved over the past years by the Organization Active support and liaison with the various clients in the capacity development events in the region and contribute to the NPRR.
    3. Contribute to resource mobilization and business development initiatives of the organization especially through conceptualization of regional programmes.
    4. Coordinate with different stakeholders such as research and academic institutions, financial institutions, CSOs, media etc. including district administration) in client management,
    5.  Facilitate replication of different practices across the operational cluster and represent organization on different forums.
    6. Ensure timely and quality delivery of regular attendance and technical input to the team members and integration of thematic intervention resulted in
      1. Resolving issues and ensured transparency in project implementation.
        1. Sustain the domain in resource crunch situation through introducing new team members and nurture new leadership and capacity building of team members with an expected outcome of Effective utilization of existing human resources.
        2. Strengthening and replication of community-based models and Improving the ethics and working culture of the organization through the various initiatives and implementation of existing policies in its full extent.
    7. Strengthening programmatic intervention across the operational cluster through inter domains interventions and multi-stakeholder action.
      1. Make necessary arrangements for making Apex level institutions such as women’s federation and FPOs as an agent of change at the community level.
      2. To enhance organization visibility across the region, influence different stakeholders and strengthen local ecosystem.
      3. Initiate new strategic partnership with various agencies available in Bundelkhand region to explore new business opportunities and positioning of the organization.
      4. Strengthening the existing partnership with NABARD in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh for intensification of thematic interventions in the operational cluster through the business development.
      5. Ensure and strengthen/ build strong community connect.
    8. Demonstrate excellent leadership quality in coordination with the various Domain at DA, New Delhi and in coordination with your supervisor.
    9. Demonstrate priority of a very high quality/ efficiency, transparency, and accountability for the project management in the Bundelkhand region.
    10. Develop a high-quality monitoring and evaluation reporting system for decision making as well as to develop a strategic intervention in the region.
