Senior Manager – Technology Transfer and Management
Location:

Reporting to:
Vice President and Domain Lead
Job Purpose:
To lead the South-South technology transfer initiatives of Development Alternatives Group for climate change mitigation and improved resource efficiency in India and across the world
Key Responsibilities:
Work with in-house and external research teams to help translate their ideas and expertise into projects that make a verifiable difference to commercial businesses (external and internal) through technology licensing and support in the field of building materials and technologies, cementitous materials, industrial wastes and related areas.
Identifying commercial strategies for transferring technologies to industry in India and abroad including supporting proof-of-concept activities and marketing to potential end-users
Negotiating appropriate licensing contracts, technology transfer fees, royalties etc. in conjunction with legal experts
Application for patents, copyright and registered trademarks for protecting in-house technology development
Ensuring technology transfer activities support the generation of research ‘impact’ by in-house research team
Liasoning with Universities, Institutes and Organizations for sourcing and development of technologies through research partnerships and collaborative projects
Monitoring research opportunities, announcements, donor trends, and support teams in creating new businesses.
Building a network of professional business contacts - clients, consultant companies and individual experts to identify potential partnerships.
Project management including project planning, monitoring, reporting, writing, research and documentation; responsible for overall quality of project delivery.
Management of project team to ensure seamless and high-quality delivery.
Networking with national and international organization in the sustainable development arena to increase visibility of Group work and open new business opportunities
Desired Qualification
Post graduate / Doctorate in Engineering/ Science/ Management
Desired Work Experience
8-10 years’ experience in management of research outcomes through licensing, partnerships and commercial businesses
