TARA BrickMek Super:
The Green Gift on Diwali

Since 1996, TARA is involved in producing environment friendly material for the Indian brick industry by innovating, adapting and re-engineering the brick moulding and firing processes. A notable outcome is a soft moulding machine, the TARA BrickMek. The chief factor for the high acceptance of the TARA BrickMek machine by small scale brick entrepreneurs is its moulding technique which is similar to the conventional brick moulding process.

Similarities between TARA BrickMek and conventional method.

In India the viability of small and medium brick kilns is marginal due to rising costs of energy and manpower coupled with stricter environmental laws.

Realising the need and benefits of mechanised green brick production, the TARA BricKMek is positioned as a highly sought after soft brick moulding machine for small scale brick enterprises. Some leading entrepreneurs have expended an additional Rs. 2-3 lakhs to access the three phase electric connection required to run the machine. Limited and uncertain power availability in rural areas is a major concern for brick makers who desire to adopt new technology. Another perpetual problem is of availability of good moulders which is restricted to limited areas making uniformly high quality of bricks a rarity to find.

Recognising that the aforesaid issue of three phase electric power supply in rural areas is a perpetual problem, TARA Machines has been inspired to retrofit the electric model of TARA BrickMek into a multi-purpose model. The TARA BrickMek Super is designed to respond to the needs of brick entrepreneurs to facilitate brick moulding on demand. The TARA BrickMek Super is a dual powered machine with facility to run with a 7.5 hp electric motor or alternatively the chassis mounted 10 hp diesel generator. The simple mechanism of interchangeability, from electric to diesel or vise-versa, helps the entrepreneurs to ensure reliable brick moulding.

The new technology has been designed in such a way that it can easily be operated at any location. It can save the trouble and delays usually experienced in securing three phase electric power. The complete machine is moulded on four wheels and a tow to steer the direction for easy movement on brick moulding sites.

The TARA BrickMek Super was launched on Diwali 2011. q
