Innovation Systems Branch (ISB)

l A half-day workshop was organised on 18 June, 2010 under the ERM (Environment Resource Management) project, titled State Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Planning - Madhya Pradesh (Indo-UK Collaborative Research Programme). The workshop was organised in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh. The main purpose of the workshop was to launch the project inviting various stakeholders to a single platform and ensure their engagement and participation in the project.

l A brainstorming workshop was held on 5 June, 2010 at Taragram Orchha. The workshop focused on bringing grassroot practitioners together at a common platform to discuss challenges faced and need for policy influence in the area of Integrated Domestic Water Management. The project is supported by India Water Partnership for documentation of case studies in Arid and Semi arid regions of India in the area of Integrated Domestic water Management.

l A state level experience sharing workshop for "Strengthening District Planning in India" was organised in the Lake Conservation Authority, Bhopal on 8 June, 2010. The project is supported by The Asia Foundation. As a part of the project a workshop was organised for sharing of learning and experiences of the project partners, PRI members, Government & Non-Government functionaries for building a stronger network of organisations/practitioners working in district planning. The day long event saw participation of various stakeholders and professionals working in the area of environment conservation and district planning.
 

Development Solutions Branch (DSB)

l CLAP for Himachal has now entered three new districts of Kinnaur. Kullu and Una were CSO partners and have been selected; orientation and training workshops havebeen held. The community assessment exercises at Panchayat level initiated in these districts. The Programme has now been initiated in nine of the twelve districts of HP. The District Steering Committee meetings involving the district administrations and the CSO network have been held in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Mandi and Kinnaur districts. 
 

l Under COL Mobile for Media Project, training workshop held from 26 June to 1 July, 2010. At this workshop, smart phones will be deployed in the field to make radio programmes on NREGS a two way communication.
 

l Training to PRI members & Citizen Leaders in Role of Panchayat in MNREGA (4th June ’10) under UNDP NREGS+ Project.

l Training to PRI members & Citizen Leaders in Decentralised Planning & Line Department Schemes at TARAgram, Orchha (M.P.) 1st Batch (15-16 June’10) , 2nd Batch (18-19 June’10) under UNDP NREGS+ Project.

l Training to PRI members & Citizen Leaders in Decentralised Planning & Line Department Schemes at TARAgram, Pahuj (U.P.) 1st Batch (25-26 June’10), 2nd Batch (29-30 June’10) under UNDP NREGS+ Project.

l ToT for Animators & Farmers on Package of Practices (PoP) for Kharif Crops. (27-28 June’10) under SDC-SCSI Project.
 

TARAhaat
l The version 2.2 of TARA Ganit developed by TARAhaat has been rolled out in the field for implementation.

l TARAhaat is developing a course on advance cinematic which will include advance video and audio editing programmes.
