l
The session on Energy Security in Arid/semi-arid region was coordinated by DA in the SDC supported National Policy Dialogue Workshop on Climate Change held on November 8 & 9 at Chennai. Issues related to Bundelkhand, specifically fusion of high science people and people science discussed. "Chennai Action Plan" developed / drafted by the participants. The Delhi event of the National Policy dialogue held on November 11. Inaugurated by Shri Jairam Ramesh, Minister of State for Environment and Forest and the closing session by Shri K.V. Thomas, Minister of State for agriculture. The "Chennai Action Plan" was shared with the participants were DA was one of the key partners.

l Participated in India-EU Workshop on "Water Technology Research and Innovation Collaboration (WTRIC 2010)" on November 9 & 10 at Bangalore.

l Lecture Delivered by Dr K. Vijayalakshmi on "Climate Change and Environmental Degradation" on November 18 held at Department of Biomedical Sciences, Acharya Narendra Dev College, Delhi University as a part of Chathexis’10.

l Under ACC-Wadi 28 farmers identified for adopting carbon efficient irrigation systems like drip, sprinkler and lift irrigation in 5 villages that will cover approximately 121 acres of land.

l Under TDF-NABARD initiative, 225 households entered for the preliminary consent and 114 orchards established. 26 plots covered through bio-fencing, inter-cropping introduced over 8 acres of land. 7 Wadi Participants Group (WPG) formed.

l 699 household toilets completed under Arghyam in 10 villages of Bundelkhand.

l
The World Bank sponsored Development Marketplace project titled Rural Reality Shows for Catalyzing Large Scale Climate Change Adaptation is all set to begin in more than a hundred villages in Jhansi and Tikamgarh.

l DA participate in a one day Seminar on "Methodology and Procedure for Popularization of ENVIS Network" on November 26.

l Radio Bundelkhand community reporters and marketing team underwent a two day training workshop on ‘Sales and Marketing Techniques Towards Sustainability of Community Radio’.

l The Northern Region Lok Awaas Yatra commenced from December 6 to 11.

l Inaugurated the Hand-Embroidery training centre under MEDP, NABARD Jhansi at TARAgram, Pahuj.

l JAICA funded training under UP Forest Department, Forth Batch Completed; fifth batch will start from December 7 to 16.
