Centre Inauguration and Graduation Ceremony


Development Alternatives is delighted to resume the training centre in Jaipur in the new phase of skills to livelihood project with aim to create models that generate sustainable livelihoods in large numbers. During the last three phases more than 3000 youth and women have been trained and over 1800 have been linked to employment.

On 11 October 2021, Development Alternatives launched a 21 days long campaign, ‘Padhegi Woh toh Badhenge Hum’ in collaboration with NDTV. This campaign aimed to raise funds and generate support to make 5 million literate women by 2025.

13 Saal, Bemisal – Radio Bundelkhand celebrates 13 years


Radio Bundelkhand is the first community radio station running under the NGO operated model of community radio in Madhya Pradesh. It is also India's second community radio station. Operated by Development Alternatives in Niwari District of Bundelkhand Region, it was started on 23rd October 2008. Today it broadcasts 11hrs in a day through a 50W power transmitter from TARAgram Orchha and reaches a 15km radius of the area.

OECD SILK Peer Learning Session conducted by DIESIS Network


A virtual session on "OECD SILK Peer Learning Session" was conducted by DIESIS Network on 31 August 2021 from 06:30 to 9:00pm IST. Kanika Verma from DA, participated in the session and shared the case study on the Internationalisation of Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) practices of DA, particularly the technology and knowledge transfer for collaborative action.

Indian Micro Enterprise development Foundation (IMEDF) conducted their 3rd Cluster Visit Training Program on the SFURTI scheme, under the guidance of AICTE. The training was attended by 15 faculty members from different Engineering colleges and institutes of Rajasthan.

Breastfeeding during Pandemic: Radio Bundelkhand


To celebrate the breastfeeding week, Radio Bundelkhand conducted a live interactive session "Baatein Humari Tumhari", where 20 community women and a doctor participated and discussed the significance of breastfeeding and important measures to be taken during the breastfeeding.
