    The Green and Inclusive Entrepreneurship Domain of Development Alternatives (DA) Group is working on a key CSR project on women empowerment through a cluster based approach. The project focusses on promoting farm and off-farm initiatives in 6 states of India. DA is implementing the project in partnership with other implementing agencies. The following are the broad objectives of the project:

    • Aggregate to increase scale of economies and income of the target community.
    • Twinning business development services for the clusters with various stakeholders in the private sector.

    We are looking for a highly motivated professional for the role of Deputy Manager under which specific responsibilities of the candidate will include the following, broadly characterised by maintaining of programmatic and financial reports.

    • Managing day to day operations of the project on cluster based value chain approach.
    • Preparing project finance sheets on a regular basis and maintaining files for admin and finance.
    • Maintaining MIS data for the project regularly and sharing with senior management.
    • Preparing and maintaining templates and dashboards as required by the project.
    • Liasoning with stakeholders along with senior management and managing records.
    • Documentation of case studies, success stories and sharing regularly.
    • Preparing client reports.

    We are looking for a water sector expert to join our team. This position will work directly with the Associate Vice President and Senior Vice President at Development Alternatives to strategically anchor and develop the organisation’s work on various aspects of water, wastewater, and water-based ecosystems.

    Your primary responsibility would be to lead the team in conducting research on water-related issues from social, ecological, and economic, lenses; and delivering the project(s) commitment, starting from design and strategy for project planning up to project delivery. You would work in a highly interdisciplinary team in a very dynamic environment and would be encouraged to look at possible synergies across systems, sectors and scales to design and implement cross-cutting projects. You would be expected to further extend our ambitious efforts to advance the organization’s agenda by disseminating our work and message to a wide variety of stakeholders nationally and internationally including researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and institutions of higher education.

    Responsibilities:

    • Proposal writing, business development, proposal presentation, networking with donors and other stakeholders
    • Design and deliver new projects for expanding and strengthening organization’s work on water issues.
    • Secondary research on local, national and international issues in the water sector and policies, schemes, and novel project designs and methodologies which address them.
    • Primary research in the field as and when the need arises.
