Clean Technology Trends and Needs
Sustainable development requires narrowing the current employment gap and meeting the aspirations and job expectations of an increasing workforce. India will need to add 15 million new jobs annually for the next decade. Micro-enterprises can play an instrumental role in addressing this challenge as they create local jobs in large numbers.
Work 4 Progress (W4P) India aims to create a culture of entrepreneurship in regions of Bundelkhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. This mini-documentary is about a micro movement that is building a robust support system for accelerating the development of profitable enterprises. It started with the setting up of a regional platform for converging resources and connecting small businesses with service providers such as financial institutions, market aggregators and training institutions.
