WATER-ENERGY NEXUS - Bhubaneswar
The study tries to assess the energy and GHG emission footprint of municipal water along with its life cycle in urban human settlements in the city of Bhubaneswar. The findings of the research indicate the most pressing issues the city faces and the tremendous scope for improving the services efficiency and resource-sufficiency, equity and resilience of the system.

Women's Literacy Deserves 'Undivided' National Attention
India ranks 123 out of 135 countries in terms of female literacy rate. We still have women who are forced to choose the life of restricted mobility, no financial freedom, reliance on distorted information. As a result, we are gearing up for adding another crop of illiterate citizens unless we take up the task of educating women on war footing. This article highlights the story of two rural women whose lives were transformed after being part of TARA Akshar +, Development Alternative’s adult literacy programme.
