The Green Economy Coalition (GEC) held it's Global Annual Meeting from 4 – 6 February 2020 in New Delhi, India on the theme of “Local Green Enterprises: Building Movements of MSMEs within India’s Transition to an Inclusive Green Economy”. This is an outcome of a project titled ‘Linking Adolescent Girls and Boys of Jhabua to Livelihood through Skill Enhancement for Better Future’, funded by UNICEF, Madhya Pradesh, to work with the adolescents and youths in Jhabua to improve their decision making ability and help them to realise their potential of working in different fields, from October 2018 to December 2019.
Environmental and Resource assessment for uptake of LC3 in India’s cement mix
This report provides a detailed description of the study undertaken to ascertain the potential sustainable impact of LC3 in India's cement mix. Conducting a comparative analysis of the environmental and resource performance between two diverse cement production scenarios - Business As Usual (BAU) and Low-Carbon Pathway (LCP), the study concludes that introduction and growing proportion of LCPs have a better environmental and resource performance - thereby establishing the legitimacy of LC3 as the cement for sustainable future in India.
