Mainstreaming Material Flow Assessment to Enhance Resource Efficiency of Construction Sector in India

This policy brief is based on a study on Analysing Resource Flows in Indian Cities (with a focus on the Construction Sector), undertaken as part of European Union’s Resource Efficiency Initiative in India. It focuses on resource flows in the construction sector in two cities – Ahmedabad and Bhubaneswar and points to possible actions that may be taken at the city level for reducing virgin resources consumed by the sector through utilisation of secondary resources. In this brief, priority areas for policy action at the city level have been identified for resource efficiency of the construction sector.

Design & Technology For Disaster-resilient, Environmentally Responsible Buildings in Mountain Regions (Uttarakhand)

This document was developed as a Technology Package with Options for Eco-friendly Disaster-resistant Construction Practices for mountain regions. The solutions implemented by a project in three demonstration buildings and the experience of engagement with local communities and entrepreneurs bring forth lessons that can inform a larger strategy for mainstreaming sustainable construction in mountain regions.

Entrepreneurship for Empowerment - Redefining Entrepreneurship through Innovation

As part of the Entrepreneurship for Empowerment programme of DA and Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Bank, a capitalisation document was developed capturing the programme's approach, methodology, and tools. The document highlights the programme's evolution through three phases over the years 2017-2022. To unleash entrepreneurial aspirations in individuals, the programme adopted a multi-pronged approach of Persona Building, Digital Platform, and Enabling Ecosystem.
