PERSPECTIVES

Revamping the Indian Agricultural System

The modern food system is associated with multiple challenges. Farmers in our country live in complex spaces where the challenges are numerous - food security, health, livelihoods, shelter. Responding to this will not happen by just 'supporting product prices' alone but by providing support to enhance their income, bring rural development and reorient policies to meet nutrition, environment and economic goals together.
