With increasing pressure on natural resources to be growth demands, DA has done extensive research on assessing the situation and identifying solutions for decoupling resource use from economic growth. This catalogue comprises of reports, articles and audio-visuals that aim at spreading awareness among the masses and seek to provide information on possible interventions for sustainable consumption and production practices.
Applying Systems Thinking to achieve SDGs: Capacity Building Module
The capacity building module on Systems Thinking and SDGs is developed under a civic education programme, led by DA, in partnership with IIPA, supported by HBF and GEC. It is a tool to engage with government officials in their understanding on SDGs, sustainable development and complex inter-linkages between social, economic and environmental components of development. The module currently includes - SDG 12 , SDG 13 and SDG 15.
Strengthening Capacities of PRIs in Climate Change Adaptation
Climate change is one of the most serious challenges facing the world today. It becomes imperative to implement policies and strengthen the institutions to deal with its implications. The training module is a reference material for the capacity building of PRI representatives, so that they can support the government in designing policies and schemes pertaining to climate adaptive practices and contribute towards village development.
Micro-enterprises have the potential to create livelihood opportunities in large numbers. The role they play is instrumental, for each entrepreneur is a potential innovator and agent of change. In this blog, Kanika Vema, emphasises on the importance of initiating change that is systemic in nature and can create a culture of entrepreneurship.

The film captures DA’s flagship programme - Integrated Village Development aka Hamara Gaon (an etymology that emphasises people’s right to decide their development pathway as informed and empowered communities) targets issues related to the economy, environment and society systemically, as a whole, helping communities realise the benefit of integrated development.
This film highlights the various solutions that DA offers under its Natural Resource Management Programme in the drought prone and climate sensitive region of Bundelkhand in Central India. These eco-solutions are helping in the sustainable management of natural resources for achieving food and livelihood security of the rural communities in the face of change.
Saroja Devi shares her journey of empowerment
TARA Akshar+ is an ICT based Adult Literacy Programme, that uses advanced memory techniques to enable illiterate people to read, write and do simple arithmetic. Being run in more than eight states, it has made about two lakh women functionally literate. This is the success story of Saroja Devi, a TARA Akshar+ graduate, who successfully runs a cosmetic store and a beauty parlour.
