l Organised user group (Constituted by the Water Shed Committee) training of seven villages (Chopra, Noner, Pathari, Kamhar, Salya Pamar, Govind Nagar, and Chakramsagar) from September 26 to October 3.
 
 
 

Innovation Systems Branch (ISB)

 
 


l Organised the ‘Indo-UK Climate Change Adaptation Research Programme: Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessment for Madhya Pradesh’ on September 30, 2011 at Environmental Planning and Coordination Organisation (EPCO), Bhopal. Representatives from various departments of the Government of India, academic institutions and experts participated in it. The programme highlighted the outcomes and key findings of the research projects in the State.

l DA, supported by EAWAG, a Swiss Institute, has initiated a programme advocating the use of household water treatment systems in the National Capital Region.
 

 
  Business Solutions Branch (BSB)  
 


l A nine months programme ‘Literacy to Self Reliance’, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of Noida Power Company Limited started in September. It is a literacy and capacity building programme for women empowerment.

l Organised 15 days training on processing, packaging and marketing of tomato products at district Shivpuri (MP) under District Poverty Initiative Project (DPIP). The training saw participation of 34 members from the area.

l Organising one month training on cutting and tailoring at Kalda, Panna (MP) under District Poverty Initiative Project (DPIP). Forty women are participating in training.

l
A workshop of Village Core Committees was organised in Satar Kranti Sthal, Orchha from September 6-9 to share the detailed plan of Rural Reality Show for behaviour change towards climate change. Three hundred members from selected 100 villages in Jhansi and Tikamgarh district participated.  

l A press conference was held to launch the Rural Reality Show on September 27 in Jhansi, Bundelkhand. Representatives from DA addressed the conference and shared the concept of the show for adaptation to climate change. Eighty journalists from 30 media organisations attended the conference.
